2. Not Legal or Tax Advice

Expatly itself is not a law firm, tax advisory, or immigration consultancy. The free tools and educational content are for informational purposes only. Tax rates and visa requirements change — always verify with a qualified professional before making financial or legal decisions. The Apply-for-Me service connects you with independent licensed professionals; their work is governed by their own terms and professional liability.

3. Right of Withdrawal & Refunds

Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance-purchased digital services.

Beckham Law Tax Report (€19): Because the report is delivered as personalized digital content immediately upon payment, by completing the checkout you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once the PDF is generated and sent to your email. If the report fails to arrive within 24 hours or contains errors due to our fault, contact us for a full refund or correction.

Apply-for-Me (€149-€399): 14-day right of withdrawal applies before any partner work begins. Once the assigned partner starts the filing, partial refunds may apply pro-rata for unworked portions.

4. Accuracy

We strive to keep tax brackets, visa requirements, and city data current. We do not, however, guarantee 100% accuracy — Spanish tax law and immigration rules change without notice. Always verify critical information with a licensed professional before relying on it.

5. Account & Communications

By providing your email, you consent to receive the specific content you requested (tax report, DNV guide, Apply-for-Me follow-up). We send drip-campaign emails only after explicit opt-in via consent checkbox; you can unsubscribe with one click via the link in every email.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expatly is not liable for any financial losses, missed deadlines, incorrect filings, or third-party partner errors resulting from use of our tools or services. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid Expatly directly in the 12 months preceding the claim. This does not limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or rights that cannot be limited under EU consumer law.

7. Partner Directory

The /partners directory contains publicly available information about Spain-based service providers. Listing does not imply endorsement, partnership, or any business relationship between Expatly and the listed firm. Ratings are sourced from Google. Always verify credentials independently before engaging any professional.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Madrid, except where EU consumer law grants you the right to bring action in the courts of your country of residence. EU residents may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes affecting paying customers will be announced by email at least 30 days in advance.
